Listen up, Slap Nuts!

Jeff Jarrett has been a polarizing figure in the world of wrestling. He started his career in 1986 in his father Jerry's promotion, Continental Wrestling Association. A third-generation wrestler, Jarrett has held over 80 titles in his 36-year career. He is a Hall of Famer in both TNA and WWE. Basically, Jeff has been around.

Jarrett bounced around promotions for around a decade. Soon after, Double J and his father began Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Jarrett remained with TNA from 2002-2014, leaving due to disputes with the office and the fact that polarizing executive Dixie Carter was to remain TNA President.

After TNA, Jarrett promotion bounced for a few years. His name was largely out of the wrestling news spotlight until May of 2022, when it was announced that the Chosen One would be returning to WWE as Senior Vice President of Live Events. He will essentially sit atop any WWE event that involves wrestlers and an audience.

The four-time WCW World Champion and six-time NWA World Champion had caught flak for his creative directions in his tenures at TNA and Global Force Wrestling. He's also been known to not always play well with others. Still, if Jarrett can avoid politics and wearing too many hats, this could be a big win for the company.

If not, his stay could be likened to Eric Bischoff's 2018 tenure as Executive Director of SmackDown.
