10 Gimmick Matches WWE Should NEVER Book Again

A bloody Chairs Match.

WWE's TLC pay-per-view hinges on the titular gimmicks themselves. Fans know they'll see people crash through tables and dive off of ladders. What's the worst part of that three-lettered acronym? The chairs. They're too commonplace to be anything other than a complement to the first two gimmicks.

So, it was a bit baffling that WWE decided to introduce them as a standalone match type when they turned TLC into a pay-per-view series in 2009. The Undertaker and Batista drew the short straw when creative told them they'd have to ignore tables and ladders in favour of belting one another with chairs like they erm... did every week on regular TV.

The 'Chairs' idea has been churned out on almost every event since, and it has never been tolerable. Hey, at least things can't get any worse though? Right? It's not like WWE would reach even deeper into a bag of sh*te to pull out something worse.
