10 Glaring Problems WWE Must Solve Before SummerSlam 2021

8. Supernatural Shenanigans - Part 1

It's easy to forget, but there was a time when The Fiend was genuinely the most exciting wrestler on the planet.

Bray Wyatt's metamorphosis into a demonically possessed children's show host turned the former Eater of Pins into the hottest act on the planet. The opening Firefly Fun House vignettes were a pitch-perfect introduction to the character, and The Fiend's debut match against Finn Balor was one of the most effective squash matches in wrestling history.

Unfortunately, things went downhill fast after that.

WWE couldn't leave well enough alone, and soon the Fiend was forced down our throats like a greased-up Mandible Claw. WWE thrust the Fiend into the title picture in a horribly misguided attempt to capitalise on his popularity, and his mystique has never really recovered.

Having the Fiend chase the gold felt as ill-fitting as a Cthulu story where the unknowable Elder God decides to rob a bank to pay for his temple retrofitting. Since then, Wyatt has been plodding along, each loss and nonsensical storyline (anyone remember his feud with the Miz?) stripping away another piece of his once unmatched aura.

Unfortunately, Bray isn't the only supernatural screw-up on RAW's roster right now...
