10 Greatest Comebacks In UFC History

3. Pete Sell Vs. Scott Smith - The Ultimate Fighter 4 Finale

Scott Smith might not be the most famous of fighters - his most high profile victory was a shocking knockout victory over Strikeforce legend, Cung Le - but his contribution to the UFC's always impressive highlight reel should never be overlooked. In fact, he only ever got one victory inside the Octagon, but it's an incredible one.

Signed on to face savvy submission artist, Pete Sell, at The Ultimate Fighter Four Finale, Smith took the first round due to his powerful striking. The Reno, Nevada native was landing some crushing blows to his opponent, making it look like he would either stop the New Yorker or cruise to his first win in the UFC.

However, after exchanging strikes in the middle of the Octagon, Sell landed a crushing left hook to Smith's ribs that folded him like a deck chair. As his opponent clutched his torso in agony, Sell sensed that the end was near. He was right, but only partially.

Rushing in to finish the job, Sell left himself open for a Hail Mary overhand right from Smith that landed directly on his jaw, knocking him out cold in the process.
