10 Greatest Entrances In UFC History

1. Conor McGregor (UFC 205)

The undisputed greatest entrance in UFC history isn't a flashy flourish, nor is it a gimmicky character showing.

No, the best of the best was the result of a perfect concoction of timing, popularity and focus - in other words, Conor McGregor.

After finally slaying Nate Diaz at 170lbs, McGregor announced that he would be returning to a weight that many felt he could dominate for the next decade - Lightweight.

As the current Featherweight Champ, McGregor was eyeing the ultimate prize of becoming UFC's first Champ-Champ. First, he would have to take out Eddie Alvarez - who had a 28-4 record coming into the fight.

What could make this fight any more anticipated than what it already was?

UFC would finally be making the New York City debut, in the world renowned Madison Square Garden at UFC 205.

With a cultish Irish/American fanbase evidently in attendance, McGregor enjoyed the kind of fanfare reserved for war heroes and The Beatles. Draped in his Irish colours, McGregor mixed Foggy Dew by Sinead O'Connor and I Get Money by 50 Cent to produce a moment that will live on in UFC legend forever.

Oh and he did it, sparking out Alvarez in the second round to become the first ever double champ.
