10 Greatest Entrances In UFC History
3. Jon Jones (UFC 197)
Regardless of how you feel about the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion's suspensions from MMA competition, you cannot argue that the sport loses something whenever he is gone.
After being scheduled to defend his Light Heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson at UFC 187, Jon Jones was stripped of the belt and suspended indefinitely thanks to his part in a hit-and-run incident. Jones was sentenced to 18 months of supervised probation and was only authorized to travel in his vehicle for work purposes.
After the sentencing, Jones was cleared to return to action.
He would be allowed - in his eyes - to come home.
Daniel Cormier had been set to take on Jones in his comeback fight before pulling out with a foot injury. Ovince Saint Preux took DC's place and the fight was set for UFC 197.
After being in the public eye for all the wrong reasons and not fighting for 476 days, Jones strolled back into a UFC arena and was serenaded by the symbolic 'Coming Home' by Diddy.
You could see on Jones' face that the sparkle was back and he seemed grateful for the reception he was given by the unusually forgiving UFC faithful. He would announce his return with a decision victory, but this stands as one of the few moments where a usually cocky competitor looked to be humbled by his ovation.
