7. Sting Is Inducted Into TNA's Hall Of Fame
After wrestling for almost seven years in Total Nonstop Action wrestling, Sting was given the honour of being the first inductee into TNA's Hall of Fame. Sting had performed admirably for a company that arguably did not know what to do with a star of his caliber. He had been out of the spotlight for several years before making his debut with Jeff Jarrett's promotion but was still a recognisable name in wrestling, acting as a big enough draw to build TNA's fledgling house show business. Originally brought in as a special attraction, Sting entered into a feud with Jeff Jarrett and transitioned nicely into matches against Scott Steiner and Christian Cage. In October 2006, Sting defeat Jeff Jarrett by submission to earn his second NWA World Heavyweight Title. It was Sting's first major title since 1999 and he became the only person to win that title both before and after TNA existed. Sting then moved on to the Main Event Mafia storyline and became a mainstay on TNA television, becoming one of their most reliable stars. Even to the very end, at age 54, Sting gave TNA match after match against guys both old and young. Sting deserves a Hall of Fame honour, even if it is from TNA.
