10 Greatest Family Feuds In Wrestling History
7. Eddie Guerrero Vs Chavo Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero and the oft-underrated Chavo are uncle and nephew, but with an age gap of just three years, they grew up like brothers. When Chavo made the jump to WWE he was teamed with uncle Eddie, and the two made up a core part of the Smackdown Six as Los Guerreros, taking part in some classic tag matches.
The team was always going to implode eventually, and the motivation wrote itself as Eddie climbed the ladder to the main event picture, while Chavo languished in the midcard. In their WCW days, Eddie attempted to corrupt Chavo and indoctrinate him in his rule-breaking ways, which Chavo resisted.
Here, the nephew was a fully-fledged heel, and the feud ramped up in drama with the addition of Chavo senior, Eddie’s brother. The older Chavo sided with his son, and the two tormented Eddie before Latino Heat took revenge on his turncoat family in his inimitable style.
WWE hasn’t always been good to the Guerrero family (just ask Hector, aka The Gobbledy Gooker), but this angle gave Chavo some of his finest moments for the company.
