10 Greatest Family Feuds In Wrestling History
8. Brie Bella Vs Nikki Bella
While their in-ring work hasn’t always been stellar, the Bella Twins are a genuinely aspirational story in WWE. Signed at least in part for the novelty factor, the two put in commendable hours and effort to improve in the ring, and while they never reached the heights of the next generation of female talent, they certainly reached a level beyond what many would have expected of them.
WWE kept their powder dry in terms of a clash between the twins, but when they pulled the trigger in 2014, the results were far better than many would have you believe. The angle was based around the usual familial jealousy, Brie feeling that sister Nikki was hogging the limelight, and the storytelling was hardly the most inventive we’ve seen in wrestling.
The matches, though, were impressively solid. The two clearly came out with a point to prove - they obviously know each other as well as anyone could, and were hell bent on proving the critics wrong. They’re not what you’d call technical masterpieces, but for a feud a lifetime in the making, they were highly effective.
