10 Greatest Family Feuds In Wrestling History

4. Cody Rhodes Vs Dustin Rhodes

WWE never utilised either Dustin Rhodes or his younger half-brother Cody properly. They saw elder Rhodes as part of the furniture - he portrayed the enigmatic Goldust in multiple runs with the company, a comedy character he played so well as to make a rod for his own back, as Goldust was never going to main event.

Cody seemed destined for a bigger push, but it never happened. The brothers would team and occasionally fight one another as they saw out their contracts. Cody especially seemed like a missed opportunity for WWE, and he was intent on proving it.

When Cody co-founded AEW, the inaugural pay per view was stolen by a brother vs brother bout for the ages. Cody and Dustin put on a sweeping, dramatic clinic, an old school bloodbath with wall to wall drama, giving the older Rhodes perhaps his finest ever in-ring performance at age 50.

The two were never given the chance to work a proper angle in WWE, and they proved in Cody’s upstart organisation just how great this would have been with more time. It’s just one match, but it’s one for the ages.
