10 Greatest LGBTQ Fighters In UFC History

8. Jessica Aguilar

Given that she was released from the UFC this past May (after going 1-4 with the promotion), some folks may be surprised to see Jessica Aguilar's name on our list.

However, at the height of her career, the strawweight out of Veracruz, Mexico was one of the best female fighters in the world. In truth, Aguilar's career, prior to signing with UFC, had been nothing short of phenomenal.

The 37-year-old holds two victories over MMA legend Megumi Fujii, which heightened her profile considerably. Prior to their first encounter in 2012, Fujii was seen as the best female fighter in the sport. She also defeated Carla Esparza, who would go on to become the UFC's inaugural strawweight titleholder.

Her resume even includes a reign as the World Series of Fighting's first (and only) Women's Strawweight Champion. Aguilar would defend the belt twice, before eventually signing with the UFC and vacating it.
