10 Greatest Tag-Teams WWE Missed Out On

8. Steve Williams & Terry Gordy

A great friend of Jim Ross, 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams probably should have had more success than he did in the WWF. A short run towards the end of the 1990's was blighted by injury problems, even though the man was as rugged as they come. That toughness made him ideal for teaming with another brawler, Terry Gordy.

Collectively known in Japan as The Miracle Violence Connection, which is quite the moniker, Williams and Gordy were one of the greatest foreign teams in All Japan Pro Wrestling during the early-90's. In 1992, they brought their successful union to WCW, where a brief run saw them feud with The Steiner Brothers.

A WWF tenure never happened, for whatever reason. Perhaps Williams and Gordy much preferred the style in Japan, or they were simply never approached by Vince McMahon and his closest staff.

Together, they would have been excellent in the promotion. The somewhat lacking tag-team scene of the mid-1990's really could have been doing with their hard-nosed style.
