10 Greatest Ultimate Opportunists In WWE History

6. Batista

In 2005, Batista seized an opportunity that presented itself via Randy Orton's early failure. A silent assassin type whose use of facial expressions and body language convinced fans that he had not bought into the nonsense spewed by Evolution leader and mentor Triple H, he exploded out of obscurity and to the top of the card.

He endeared himself to audiences because he was a smarter big man rather than the useless lug who went along with the mastermind's plan. It all led to a monumental clash at WrestleMania 21 in which Batista defeated The Game and established himself as one of the biggest stars of the Ruthless Aggression Era.

He very well could have become relaxed, his championship reign in the books and his main event run in full force. Instead, he seized the opportunity and became an even bigger star with every passing week. He consistently improved and ultimately earned himself Hall of Fame honors, an immensely decorated resume, and offers from Hollywood.
