No character in the WWE has been as enduring as The Undertaker. There have been multiple iterations, sure, and a brief sojourn as an ass-kicking biker, but the core of The Undertaker has always been the same. He represents the end of the road, whether its as the purple-gloved mortician, the Satanic priest or the last outlaw, so theres no better catchphrase for him than Rest In Peace. More than most, The Undertakers catchphrase was a literal threat. In his first appearances, he would place his fallen opponents into bodybags and carry them out of the arena. He took it a step further when he introduced the WWF to the casket match at the 1992 Survivor Series against Kamala and in 1996 he faced Mankind in the first ever Buried Alive match. Rest In Peace had reached a whole new level of scary. The Undertaker ruled over the WWE landscape for nearly twenty-five years, but now it seems hes the one resting in peace, although not too literally. After his brutal match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX he was rushed to the hospital and hasnt been seen on WWE television since. It seems now he may be retired, enjoying his life in Texas with his wife Michelle McCool. With WrestleMania season approaching, and Sting finally on a WWE contract, rumours are constantly swirling about one last ride and we may hear those fateful words one more time in the near future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DsKZFFikWw
