The Jung Dragons and 3 Count didn’t really have a compelling storyline behind their series, but they still put on some of the best matches seen in late WCW.

At New Blood Rising, 3 Count opened the show with their hit song “Do The 3 Count”, with Tank Abbott providing lead vocals...which was so bad...it was kind of awesome.

Above the ring was not the Tag Team Titles, oh no, it was a recording contract along with 3 Count’s gold record. They started with a traditional tag match despite the involvement of a ladder, and at one point, Abbott tipped over Shane Helms’ ladder for no reason. So yes, this all sounds awful so far, but just give the match a chance and you’ll see some great action despite the weirdness.

There were some innovative ladder spots, impressive top rope dives and a lot of dangerous bumps in the chaotic, but entertaining match. Then just two matches later, somehow this great opener was topped with Kanyon vs. Buff Bagwell in a Judy Bagwell on a Pole match. Okay, that’s a damn lie, and I’m sorry for saying it.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
