10 Hidden Gem Wrestlers That Would Blow AEW Fans’ Minds

4. Yuji Okabayashi

Yuji Okabayashi is the perfect Japanese freelancer for a tour of the United States because of his expressiveness.

An immensely charismatic bear of a man, Okabayashi projects his emotions without ever crossing over into melodrama. He grunts, roars and yells his way through strong style striking exchanges, wails when the veneer of toughness breaks to expose real pain, and becomes a running ball of rage when poked. His body language and facial expressions are next-level in the indie puroresu realm, which would prevent the language barrier from ever becoming an issue in America.

What better way to connect with a wrestler than through feeling their struggle? There isn't one, and big Yuji forges that connection instantly.

Stylistically, he's a monster. A total brick who's almost as wide as he is tall, Okabayashi hits hard, possesses immense strength, and fights with spirit. He is a walking wrecking ball and a badass in his own right, but far from the stoic warrior that often occupies this role in his homeland.
