It's perhaps surprising that Ric Flair, the man many fans most closely associate with World Championship Wrestling, was on less money than others on this list. A noted workhorse, Flair wanted little more than to be given the platform to do what he did best, wrestle tremendous matches against a wide variety of opponents. Even with this mentality, it's highly likely that Flair was recompensed heavily for his bumper Pay-Per-View showdowns opposite Hulk Hogan. Putting the incoming Hogan over strongly at the Bash At The Beach event in 1994, Flair had WCW's best interests in mind, and wanted to show - time and time again - that he was a team player for the organisation. Towards the latter part of the 90's, Flair was handed a fresh contract which entitled him to $1.6 million in basic salary, but it seems very plausible that such a deal would have included performance-related add-ons too. Wrestling Hulk Hogan on a number of high-profile Pay-Per-View main events would bag any wrestler a wedge of cash, so it's even likely that Flair earned far more than the basic figure.
