In case it hasn't been made abundantly clear, All Elite Wrestling was on fire in the summer of 2021. That's not a biased statement either - it's one backed with facts, as this marks the third of a possible five September 2021 Dynamites to make the list of highest-rated episodes.

The 8 September edition earned a deserved 0.53 rating, coming hot off the heels of All Out, a legitimate contender to WrestleMania X-Seven for the accolade of greatest wrestling pay-per-view. Its post-pay-per-view Dynamite set the mood perfectly for this new era, thanks in part to the frenzied Cincinnati audience who hollered for everyone on the show.

As is typically the case with the first weekly show after a pay-per-view, the card wasn't exceptionally intriguing. Outside of an immense spectacle between Jon Moxley and Minoru Suzuki, the episode displayed otherwise basic bouts such as Ruby Soho vs. Jamie Hayter, Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Dante Martin, and Malakai Black vs. Dustin Rhodes, all of which were designed to bolster the reputation of those preceding the versus symbol while refraining from degrading their respective adversaries.

Bryan Danielson emerging as Kenny Omega's rival was the night's top story outside the ring, not just for the prospect of such a match, but for the meat of the segment that also involved the Super Elite. AEW knew precisely what to deliver with such an interaction - that was the theme of the night.
