10 Hilarious Talk Show Appearances By WWE Stars

1. Randy Savage On The Arsenio Hall Show (1989)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLK3oomyt60 When Randy Savage died in 2011, it was unlike any pro wrestler death I can remember. While others have gotten mainstream attention, Savage was like a major celebrity "world in mourning" death. Like many fans, I spent the day perusing YouTube looking for awesome videos of Savage. In the process, I found what felt like, to me in that moment at least, the holy grail. The video was Savage appearing on The Arsenio Hall Show to promote WrestleMania V. Flanked by Morgan Fairchild, who was interviewed in the previous segment, he took complete command of the stage in a way I've rarely, if ever seen before. This was not just a great talk show appearance for a professional wrestler. This was one of the greatest talk show appearances I've ever seen from any celebrity. As in it's as good as or better than "How To Be A Jewish Son," an episode of The David Susskind Show featuring Mel Brooks and David Steinberg that's so funny it got its own DVD release decades later. Savage is brilliant here. He's funnier than in any other Macho Man clip you've ever seen and does an amazing job bouncing off Arsenio and Fairchild. He does a perfect job hyping the WrestleMania match with Hulk Hogan. More than anything else, though, it's Randy Savage being awesome. "ONE PERSON LIKES HULK HOGAN, YEEEAH!"
