10 Hilariously Awful Career-Killing WWE Gimmicks From The 2000s
7. Kerwin White
Chavo Guerrero Jr. is a third generation wrestler, a member of the famous Guerrero wrestling family. He is a talented performer who can put on a clinic when he's given the opportunity. Indeed, as a member of the Los Guerreros tag team with uncle Eddie, Chavo had a couple of great years in WWE from 2002-2004. After the team split up and briefly feuded, however, Chavo floundered. After being drafted to Raw in 2005 WWE decided to repackage him. What did they come up with? Kerwin White. Yes, they wanted to change Chavo's established and famous name. Worse still, they wanted to completely change his character from a fiery Latino to an evil middle-class white guy, complete with golf shorts and sweater vest. It was the pits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKmeXbksTw0 Chavo - excuse me, I mean Kerwin's - catchphrase was probably the worst thing about the repackage: 'If it ain't white, it ain't right' he would proudly proclaim in promos. Just what exactly were WWE thinking with this one? The gimmick was dropped when Chavo's uncle Eddie died in November 2005 and Chavo went back to wrestling under his real name. Had Chavo continued to wrestle as White, his career could very well have been over.
