10 Hilariously Awful Career-Killing WWE Gimmicks From The 2000s
6. Stuttering Morgan
Matt Morgan was once viewed as a top prospect by WWE, mainly for the fact that he was, well, very, very big. Yes, Morgan was always going to get a push based on his size and WWE rushed him to the main roster in late 2003. Morgan struggled to keep up with the boys on the blue brand. After suffering a shoulder injury Morgan headed back to OVW to polish his skills. Morgan was deemed ready to return to television in 2005 and the expectation was that they'd bring him back with a bang. Smackdown was low on headliners and perhaps John Cena could have feuded with a mean, muscular Morgan? Well, that's not quite how things panned out in the end. The re-debut occurred on the 21st April Smackdown with Morgan debuting a new stuttering gimmick. Yes, stuttering. Morgan would would cut promos before beating some jobber, proclaiming he was going to be become WWE Champion all the while he struggled to get his words out. The gimmick su...su...su...sucked and Morgan couldn't even save his doomed career by aligning himself with the charismatic Carlito. He was gone by July, never to return to the company. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1982B6xeUo
