10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2021

5. Taya Valkyrie

While she's not officially an independent talent at the time of writing, Taya Valkyrie's Impact contract is set to expire at the end of January. It's unknown at this time whether 'Wera Loca' has inked a new deal yet, but realistically, what's left for Taya to achieve there?

She's a former Knockouts Champion, and not only that, but she holds the record for the longest title reign with the title. A title match with Deonna Purrazzo at the upcoming Hard To Kill pay-per-view on 16 January seems a natural fit to conclude Valkyrie's Impact career.

As it pertains to WWE, Taya would fit perfectly with either the Raw or SmackDown women's division. The matches she could have with the likes of high-profile names like Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Asuka, and even some of the lower-ranked stars like Peyton Royce and Mandy Rose would be reason enough for WWE to sign Valkyrie as soon as she becomes available.

That her real-life husband John Morrison returned to the promotion this time last year only adds fuel to the fire.

Unless she desperately wants to lift the Knockouts Tag Team Championships, Taya re-signing with Impact Wrestling just wouldn't make sense for her at this point in her career. She's established herself all around the world - a jump to WWE is the most logical option for her right now.
