10 HUGE Wrestling Moments That Must Happen By 2022

5. Triple H Retires At WrestleMania

Triple H
WWE

It will take 25 minutes soundtracked by only brief flickers of excitement when he dusts off his big signature moves.

It will be a methodical and mostly tedious match.

But it needs to happen.

Triple H must retire from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 38.

That's if he hasn't outright left the company by then, which feels like it's impossible. But nothing is in pro wrestling. What is impossible is to recall Vince McMahon shaking Eric Bischoff's hand and thinking that it isn't.

Retiring Triple H at WrestleMania remains a huge deal, whether you rate him as a true legendary performer or not. The spectacle that Trips surrounds himself with in itself makes it clear how significant the occasion is to him. Basically, you can't look at those masturbatory entrances and think he isn't really putting someone over by kissing his comedically oversized throne goodbye. He loves it. He loves it more than heavy metal-uh.

But who goes over at his expense?

Who ruins the gravity of the moment by repeating his accomplishment on every episode of RAW for the next decade?

It's rather hard to pick a credible name. WWE's main roster is too old for such a story to have any purpose, and sadly, it's pointless investing in anyone from NXT, now more than ever.

But this is precisely why it needs to happen.
