10 HUGE WWE SummerSlam 2021 Predictions You Need To Know

2. Bianca Belair (c) Vs. Sasha Banks

Small mercies, but WWE not resorting to keeping Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks as uneasy allies second time around has at least done more for the build of the rematch than it did during the original WrestleMania 37 set-up.

'The Boss' returning as a babyface for one night was all the story needed to payoff the mutual respect element of their emotionally charged first encounter, but no such concession was required second time around. Banks is permitted to be p*ssed off, and has made no secret of the fact in several attacks on 'The EST'.

A run that's been confined to a feud with Bayley and some token defences against Carmella hasn't exactly reflected the best possible use of the ultra-talented Champion, and that'll sting more when she drops the title back to her nemesis in front of the massive Las Vegas crowd. But this has been main event big before and it will be again - SmackDown needs that feels as enormous as the Roman Reigns run for weeks when that character needs a breather and pay-per-view cycles when the opponent is obviously a secondary threat.

Banks/Belair 2 will hopefully rule as hard as the original. But think about the gripping third instalment if and when they're tied at one apiece.

Winner - Sasha Banks
