In wrestling, there's rarely a right time to say goodbye, but if the company ever want to have one last big swing at giving Cesaro a singles run in line with his immense talents it might be wise to bid adieu to The Bar.

'The Swiss Superman' and 'The Celtic Warrior' developed sensational chemistry together in their 2016 series, and finally tapped into a permanent winning formula when they turned heel on the Hardy Boyz last summer. Rumours of a serious injury to Sheamus at the start of the year dissipated, but his hard-hitting style may lead to a slowdown sooner rather than later. Time too may be running out for Cesaro himself, and a reunion with some of his most famous independent foes would surely leave fans salivating.

A move to SmackDown Live! could facilitate a WWE Title programme with AJ Styles and/or offer an intriguing feud with Shinsuke Nakamura depending on how a shift away from Sheamus impacts his persona. Beloved underneath the gimmick, a Daniel Bryan-level of popularity still awaits should he be pushed as a top singles babyface.
