Anyone who has paid much attention to these guides over the last few months knows that we're big fans of Charles Oliveira here. Alongside fellow Brazilian, Demian Maia, Oliveira might be one of most submission savvy fighters to ever grace the Octagon.
13 of his opponents inside the UFC have been tapped out by him and considering he's only just turned 29-years old, it's impossible to guess how many scalps by submission that he'll have by the end of his career. His next opponent, Jared Gordon, is more of a jack of all trades, master of none type. A tough fighter with decent power in his hands, he could be a threat to Oliveira, who has a questionable chin and has been known to give up during fights.
That being said, the Brazilian has improved his striking quite a bit as we saw during his last fight against Nik Lentz. Whether or not he can use that against Gordon - who has every intention of keeping this fight on the feet - remains to be seen. However, the evolution of Oliveira is incredibly exciting to watch.
