10 Indie Stars WWE Must Sign For 2016

7. The Wolves

Looking at things from WWE's side, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards may be too small to really be a top tag-team on shows like Raw and Smackdown. Obviously, this is a contentious argument, because physical stature shouldn't stand in the way of honest-to-goodness talent. As The Wolves, Richards and Edwards have wrestling ability in clear abundance. NXT would arguably be the tandem's best chance at making a splash in WWE. Working together in TNA, The Wolves have consistently been highlights of shows. In an era of uncertainty for the promotion, both guys offer fans the chance to just enjoy pro wrestling. That's something to be proud of, and they could do the same under the WWE banner without changing a thing. WWE seem interested in harnessing NXT as a touring brand which harks back to the old territory days. For example, away from the intense pressure of the main roster, fledgling talents management are interested in would be allowed the chance to gain experience. They could do this by working against some of the best wrestlers in the world, and that's exactly what Richards and Edwards are.
