10 Insane Details Wrestlers Put Into Gimmicks (And WWE Didn’t Care)

2. Alexa Bliss' Contact Lens

Alexa Bliss Fiend
WWE

Fair play to Alexa Bliss for this, because there's so much to hate about the much-vaunted "lore of The Fiend" and how it's ultimately transformed her character into a bizarre parody of a horror film's possessed child.

This, though, was truly inspired.

It was during the wretched feud between Randy Orton and The Fiend that a devastated Bliss launched a fireball at 'The Apex Predator' in measure of revenge for him burning her bestie alive on pay-per-view. This was all very silly, but what deserved respect was the effort she went to with her look.

Clearly unable to forget what had happened to The Fiend at December's Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view, Bliss' contact lenses were created with an image of his immolation printed upon them. No matter what she was looking at, all she could see was his demise. This was a genuinely great detail soundly ignored by an announce team that were otherwise instructed to sell this hokey magic sh*t as deadly serious before they switched gears onto lighter things.
