10 Insane Scott Hall Moments

5. Wasn't Even Home For Live WCW TV Interview

By mid-2000, Scott Hall had largely been phased out of the WCW product. His last ever match on television for the company took place at SuperBrawl 2000. As part of a Triple Threat bout for the WCW Title also involving Jeff Jarrett, Hall was pinned by Sid Vicious. From there, it was clear that management were eager to keep the man away from things as much as possible. On an episode of Thunder in June, Hall was supposed to join the announcers live on air and discuss his career and Bill Goldberg's recent heel turn. When the commentary team dialed his home number, they were shocked when there was no answer. Somewhere along the line, Hall had decided to go out rather than stay at home and wait on the phone call. Even this wasn't enough to made WCW release Scott Hall from his contract. The guy was doing literally nothing for the promotion, but he was kept on the payroll. By this point, WCW was a complete mess, so it's not outside the realms of possibility that nobody even informed Hall he was supposed to sit by the phone.
