10 Insane Scott Hall Moments

4. The Tour Before The Infamous 'Plane Ride From Hell'

A lot of eyebrows were raised when the then-WWF signed Scott Hall in 2002. Coming in alongside Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan, Hall formed part of a renewed nWo. The idea was flawed from the beginning, because Hall seemingly wasn't prepared to slot into the corporate WWF/WWE system. Backstage, he even informed The Dudley Boys that he couldn't wait to kick out of their '3D' finishing move. Post-WrestleMania X-8, Hall was part of the crew sent over to Europe for an annual tour. On the way back to North America, the infamous 'Plane Ride From Hell' took place. Incidents on board the flight would lead to the termination of several contracts in WWE, including the likes of Curt Hennig. Incredibly, according to Jim Ross, Hall was semi-conscious during the ride and wasn't really hard to deal with. It was instead incidents that took place on the tour that forced WWE's hand. Hall was drinking heavily on the road, and was becoming a pain for management to deal with. This latest WWE run was considered Hall's last big chance to make an impression, but it wouldn't last.
