10 Last-Minute WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Rumours You Need To Know
2. Alexa Bliss Retains The Raw Women's Title
Bayley's run as Raw Women's Champion never equaled her tenure holding the gold in NXT, and it came to an abrupt end at Payback at the hands of Alexa Bliss. At the show, Bliss decisively beat the fan favorite to become the first women to hold both the Raw and Smackdown versions of the Women's Title.
Things haven't gone so well since Payback. Bayley invoked her rematch clause for Extreme Rules, and since a brawl between the two women led to the use of a kendo stick, the bout was made a kendo-stick-on-a-pole match. That's not particularly creative, but given the "This Is Your Life" segment on Raw - where Bliss mocked Bayley by bringing faces from her past to Raw - maybe we don't always need creativity.
Everything that's happened to Bayley since she joined Raw after SummerSlam has exposed just how weak the booking is on the main roster as compared to in NXT. While Bayley was a major star in development, it's clear someone in WWE doesn't believe in her. Given that clear fact, it's very unlikely that she'll win the title back anytime soon. Alexa Bliss's reign is just getting started.
