More likely than John Cena turning heel in his match versus Roman Reigns is the idea that The Undertaker will play a role in the bout... but how much more likely is it?
When Reigns and Cena first began taking shots at each other, Cena downplayed Reigns's WrestleMania victory over Undertaker by insulting "The Phenom's" condition at this stage in his career. That - as well as a report by PWInsider - led many to believe that Undertaker would be coming back at No Mercy, interfering in the bout to cost a disrespectful Cena the win. Some even noticed that the official No Mercy commercial contained a "gong" sound.
Unfortunately for fans of The Undertaker, though, the rumors have died down as the weeks have passed. In the days leading up to No Mercy, there's been little talk of "The Phenom," and that makes it sound like his appearing and attacking Cena en route to a Survivor Series dream match between the two is quite the longshot.
Never count The Undertaker out, but it doesn't look like the next chapter in his career will be written Sunday.
