There are those who'd argue that keeping Austin away from WrestleMania 39 is way better than anything else detailed on this list. That's fair, because replacing The Miz as guest host, subbing in for Bray Wyatt or squashing Baron Corbin don't exactly scream big time spots.

WWE higher-ups, and Steve himself, might agree with that.

Vince McMahon would likely want 'Stone Cold' on the show(s) in some form or fashion, but Triple H could see things differently. To 'The Game', it could be a better idea to keep Austin in reserve for SummerSlam or another major stadium show later in the year.

Don't be too stunned (ha) if any of the outcomes examined here happen, and that includes Austin doing absolutely nothing at 39. After all, he's already turned down surefire marquee smash hits vs. Lesnar and Reigns.
