Shawn Michaels is yet another who has a long history of turning his back on those closest to him. It all began in famous fashion way back in 1991, when he superkicked Marty Jannetty on the Barber Shop, a heel turn that stands the test of time 25 years later. Jannetty never recovered.

Michaels' strongest loyalty throughout his career has unquestionably been towards Triple H. A number of times in recent years Michaels has abandoned his babyface for life morals in order to aid his longtime buddy, usually in the form of illegal Sweet Chin Music. Daniel Bryan and Sting can attest to this.

Still, when the stakes have been high Michaels has been quick to kick ol' buddy Hunter in the face too. Michaels' obsession with The Undertaker in 2010 saw him boot Hunter from the Royal Rumble that year, just a couple of months after HBK had done the same at the start of a triple threat for the WWE Championship, a match that also included John Cena.

And who could forget that time Michaels booted Hulk Hogan in the face, moments after a tag team victory for the duo? Plus, you know, that whole Montreal thing...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
