10 Legends Who Never Held Gold In WWE

9. King Kong Bundy

King Kong Bundy€™s most touted accomplishment in wrestling came at the first-ever WrestleMania. Bundy pinned and defeated €œSpecial Delivery€ Jones in a reported nine seconds -- although it was actually more than twenty. By the following year€™s Showcase of the Immortals, Bundy had been built as a monster -- he even injured Hulk Hogan€™s ribs on an edition of Saturday Night€™s Main Event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FD_bwVxxZk The Hulkster and Bundy battled inside a steel cage at WrestleMania 2 for the WWF Championship. The 450 pound behemoth quickly targeted Hogan€™s ribs, hoping to capitalize on the injury. Despite inflicting major damage on Hogan, Bundy was unable to put the champion away. The Hulkster made a quick comeback, battering Bundy€™s head into the cage and busting him open, before exiting with the championship still around his waist. Despite the loss to Hogan, Bundy refused to quit. On another episode of Saturday Night€™s Main Event -- this time in November of 1987 -- King Kong Bundy again challenged for the WWF title. Somewhat surprisingly, Bundy won the bout, but it came as a result of a count-out, meaning the championship stayed with Hogan. Bundy would return to the Federation in 1994 and join Ted DiBiase€™s Million Dollar Corporation. Together they would feud with the Undertaker over his urn, culminating in a match at WrestleMania XI. Bundy lost the contest and was gone from the WWF shortly thereafter, having never won a title.
