10 Legitimate Fighters Who Competed In WWE
3. Floyd Mayweather
Seriously, who knew Floyd Mayweather was so protective of Rey Mysterio? It was seeing a returning Big Show manhandle WWE's resident underdog at No Way Out 2008 that prompted the boxer to jump over the fan barricade and land a couple of right hooks.
The result was an interdisciplinary match at WrestleMania XXIV, pitting a welterweight who came in at no more than 170lbs against the so-called World's Largest Athlete, a man so big that he's twice broken the WWE ring simply by landing on it really hard.
Totally mismatched though this was, it was actually a pretty entertaining spectacle. Show played his role to a tee, repeatedly resisting what must have been an almost uncontrollable urge to throw a punch of his own, despite his opponent's seemingly stiff approach in the ring.
The only problem was that the match's outcome could be predicted by people in another galaxy. Mayweather was (and still is) undefeated in the world of boxing; there was absolutely no way he was going to agree to lose a play-fight in the aid of sports entertainment, however much money they threw at him.
