10 Legitimately Good Acting Performances By Pro Wrestlers In Movies

3. Roddy Piper As Nada - They Live

"I am here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum." During the 1980s, Roddy Piper was one of the hottest names in the industry. Whether he was a fan favorite or especially a hated heel, Piper was a big part of the pro wrestling boom during that period of time and is widely regarded as one of the best to have never held a world championship in WWE. Despite that, he has graced the big screen more times than most of the aforementioned stars combined over the last 30 years. Granted, most of the movies he's been a part of aren't very well-known, but the role he had in "They Live" has not gone forgotten by fans. A sci-fi film, "They Live" deals with aliens altering their appearance in an attempt to manipulate mankind. Piper had a breakout performance in the movie as John Nada and it set the stage for the rest of the roles he'd have in future films. It, too, has become a cult classic over the years despite initially being a financial failure. It's also often associated with the pop culture of the '80s and the bubble gum line has cemented its place in being one of the most memorable movie quotes of all-time. Tell me you don't feel ten times cooler just by saying it.
