10 Lesser-Known Ridiculous WCW Moments

1. The Junkyard Invitational

By 1999, it was clear that WWE's hardcore division - introduced the previous year - was a success, so naturally, WCW decided to create their own version. Before actually making a title, the company decided to test the waters, and so someone came up with the WCW Hardcore Junkyard Invitational.

Fourteen wrestlers - some ECW alumni, some luchadors, and some guys who didn't have anything better to do - were all thrown into a junkyard to battle it out with whatever they could get their hands on. The result was fifteen minutes of barely visible "action" that ending with Fit Finlay being shoved in a car which was subsequently fed into a crusher. He managed to get out, though, then climb a fence, which meant that he was the winner.

The worst part of this unwatchable charade? It was incredibly dangerous. Many of the competitors got hurt, there was real fire all around, and did I mention you couldn't even see anything?

It was possibly the single stupidest match WCW ever promoted, and that says a lot.
