Another high-profile bout on the card was a triple threat match for the United States Championship, in which AJ Styles defended his title against Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin. It was a serviceable match, due in large part to Styles being the workhorse.

The champ practically ran himself ragged to make sure both of his opponents had something, as well as putting on a great show for the crowd while said opponents were sort of just along for the ride. It was practically a handicap match, considering AJ was always at the forefront taking on Owens and/or Corbin, who almost never actually wrestled each other.

Still though, AJ is one of the best wrestlers in the entire world today, and if anyone could make this set up work, it's him. And after Corbin was taken out of the equation, he hit Owens with a phenomenal forearm for the victory.

Owens and Corbin's questionable workrates aside, if AJ keeps up this standard as a fighting champion, it could go a long way in returning some prestige to the US title.
