10 Live Observations From WWE EL Paso

5. Not Enough Women's Action

Carmella Naomi

One of the few disappointing aspects of the show was the fact that it was severely and noticeably lacking in the women's wrestling department (Ironic, considering that one of the promotional videos shown on the tron in the hour leading up to the show was for the Mae Young Classic).

The card featured only a single women's match and a fairly underwhelming one at that. Carmella took on Naomi in a match that, on paper, should have been pretty good, but wasn't given nearly enough time to hit its stride.

At only a few minutes long, it was one of the shortest matches of the night and featured an incredibly abrupt ending with Naomi pinning Ms. Money in the Bank seemingly out of nowhere and in fairly convincing fashion.

Considering that SmackDown has the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Natalya at its disposal, there could have been at least one more women's bout and it could have been great.

Next time, perhaps.
