10 Longest Matches In WWE History

4. Bruno Sammartino (C) Vs Dr. Bill Miller - WWE Title - WWWF MSG Show Jul 12th 1965 (60 Minutes)

Bruno Sammartino and Bill Miller had a storied feud in the mid sixties. It even involved one shoot incident in which Miller winded Bruno during a tag match. The popular champion tagged out, recovered, then tagged back in and made Miller bleed while locking on a front facelock. The pair wrestled in Madison Square Garden in 1965, with Bruno defeating Miller on the sixty minute mark. It is testament to Bruno's ability as a performer, he was able to engage the crowd for a full hour and then pick up the win. As for Miller, he was a legitimate tough guy and a real athlete. This was perhaps the height of his fame and he ended up retiring in 1973. He died in 1997 at the age of 69.
