10 Lucha Underground Stars Who Could Shake Up WWE

10. Ivelisse

Ivelisse could have been a WWE wrestler for the past few years. She was on the fifth season of Tough Enough, but had to bow out due to a leg injury. However, she impressed the company enough that they later signed her to a developmental deal, only then to release her before ever getting a call-up. Their mistake.

TNA could have picked her up as well after her Gut Check match, but this is TNA we’re talking about and they signed Lei’D Tapa instead. Go figure.

Things turned out okay, though, as Ivelisse signed on with Lucha Underground, and has become one of the most popular wrestlers in the company. She’s been given a chance to shine with her oddball tag team of Son of Havoc and Angelico, and the three became the first Trios Champions. They've also been a part of some of the most entertaining segments aired so far in the company.

Throughout her run in Lucha, she’s proven to be one of the toughest competitors around. She’s suffered multiple injuries in The Temple, and yet she still remained in the ring, despite having a cast on her foot. We also saw her take it to the dominant Mil Muertes in the season two premiere main event. Despite coming up short, she put in a great effort, and took one hell of a beating.

However, if she ever did join WWE, it’s highly likely they’d take away her moniker of “The Baddest Bitch in the building.” I just don’t think I can imagine that on a Shopzone t-shirt.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
