10 MAJOR Changes Coming To WWE Following UFC Merger

1. The End Of WWE Network/Peacock

We could be witnessing the slow death of WWE's epic value-for-money system. The company is locked into a deal with Peacock/NBC until 2026, but beyond that? Who knows what'll happen? Over on the UFC side, they've got a contract (for pay-per-view output) with ESPN/ESPN+ until 2025.

In other words, long-term, WWE could try to revert to a traditional pay-per-view model once the deal with Peacock runs out. Removing the vast content library and cheaper access to monthly specials would suck after nearly a decade of unreal value for money on that front, and it'd be a bitter pill for most fans to swallow.

The marketplace is used to WWE's cheaper on demand steaming service model now, so it wouldn't be easy for WWE/Endeavor to take that off the table suddenly and charge full price. Combine that with a near-$30 leap in one-off cost per-event, and they could have one very dissatisfied core consumer base on their hands.

RIP Network worldwide? It could be coming.
