10 Major Mistakes WWE Has Made In 2021
6. NXT 2.0
Probably the biggest change that WWE have made in 2021 was the complete overhaul of NXT. The Black and Gold brand underwent a visual and creative makeover as Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard seized control of the developmental feeder system.
The new regime saw the brand ditch indie style matches and the gritty staging for bright colours and squash matches galore. While this did get fans talking, the overall product has proven to be a main roster-lite slog-fest.
Triple H's vision of NXT may not have drawn huge ratings, but at least it was fun and consistent. NXT 2.0 has little consistency and hasn't delivered any likeable characters. The new wrestlers that WWE have introduced seem like they have been taken straight out of the New Generation, which isn't a good thing.
As the ratings slowly decline, WWE may well be regretting their decision to change up their developmental system.
