10 Memorable WWE Moments From Sunday Night Heat

6. Triple H Vs. Maven

Throughout his short career in WWE, Maven was a criminally overlooked talent of the early 2000s. Possessing a good physique, an athletic style and a willingness to learn, the winner of the inaugural Tough Enough not only looked the part but he could also get the job done between the ropes.

Like many talent overlooked on the main roster at the time, Maven followed in the footsteps of stars like Stevie Richards, Val Venis and Raven by making Sunday Night Heat his home and using the show to get himself noticed. While appearing on Heat meant less viewers, it also meant more TV time; a mid-card match on Raw may barely last minutes, while a main event match on Heat could get as much as ten.

His perseverance paid off when Triple H made a very rare appearance on the B-Show. Coming at a time when "The Game" was at the top of his game and amid a memorable run as World Heavyweight Champion, Maven got to go toe-to-toe with one of the biggest stars in the wrestling world. The result was arguably the best match of Maven's career and the youngster really held his own against the champ.
