10 Missed Opportunities In Brock Lesnar’s WWE Career

How about that Austin/Lesnar match? Will Lesnar ever face Daniel Bryan?

Brock Lesnar is an exceptional professional wrestler, a man unlike anybody else in the history of the business. When he signed a WWE contract 15 years ago, the company thought of him as a superstar they could build around, who would, in time, become one of the best performers in wrestling history. For two years, he was clearly on the path to becoming one of the all-time greats when he decided he was sick of the WWE lifestyle and he chose to walk away after WrestleMania XX in 2004. Most people thought he would never come back because of the negative things he had said about WWE in interviews (and his book) as well as the massive success he had as a UFC World Heavyweight Champion. Then in 2012, to the shock and delight of millions, Lesnar returned. It wasn't the same kind of deal that he had in his first run because this time he had leverage as a bona fide pay-per-view draw, so his deal only called for him to work a handful of dates per a year. While some people may hate him for not working more, there's nothing wrong with getting paid a lot of money to work less and Lesnar's aura and status as a special attraction has remained intact. Along the way, there have been plenty of amazing Lesnar moments that fans will not soon forget, but there also things that were either handled wrong or moments that could have been great but, unfortunately, never happened. We can blame the creative team for some of them while others could simply be a case of Lesnar's eight year absence and limited schedule preventing some of them from happening. Whatever the reasons, the following are ten missed opportunities in the WWE career of "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar.
