10 Mistakes All Wrestling Fans Make

6. "[BLANK] Should Come Back To WWE"

When news of a wrestler's acclaimed exploits on the Independent circuit make the rounds across the internet, it moves some to bemoan the fact that they left WWE in the first place. "I wish they'd come back to WWE," they say, as if forgetting that the company did absolutely nothing with the likes of Cody Rhodes and Johnny Mundo in the first place, and both were so frustrated that they left of their own volition.

There is more to wrestling than WWE.

If you feel like WWE is too patently contrived and comedic, go and watch New Japan Pro Wrestling. If you want a company that goes full ludicrous - instead of just flirting with it just enough to undermine itself - check out CHIKARA. If you want a company that listens to its fans, pushes the guys they want to see, and bears that pesky concept of continuity in mind, check out WCPW. If you find Japanese wrestling alienating (and you shouldn't, it just takes some getting used to), Ring Of Honor remains, even after its peak, a good entry point.

Wrestlers are often happier outside WWE. It shows in the freedom and motivation of their performances.
