10 Mistakes From WrestleMania 36 That WWE Must Not Repeat

2. An Over-Reliance On Part-Timers

The top two matches from each night of 'Mania 36 were pinned down by part-timers popping back up for a sweet-assed payday. On the first night, Goldberg dropped the Universal Title to Braun Strowman before The Undertaker waved goodbye to WrestleMania glory in that aforementioned brawl with AJ Styles.

Then, on night two, John Cena rocked back into view for some cinematic craziness with Bray Wyatt, and Brock Lesnar shed his WWE Title by jobbing to Drew McIntyre. Only one of those bouts was awful (no prizes for guessing which), but it'd be nice to see WWE look towards the future rather than the past.

They shouldn't need guys like Goldberg, 'Taker or Cena in 2021.

Edge, another part-timer (at the time), is a bit different. He's since bedded in to become a bigger part of the roster post-injury, and hopes to be wrestling loads more throughout the remainder of the year. The Canadian might be the main exception to this part-time party.
