10 Mistakes WWE Better Not Make Before WrestleMania 35

9. Booking Numbers For The Sake Of It

Running parallel with the previous point is WWE's apparent need to book multi-wrestler matches aplenty at WrestleMania. Again, this is done to ensure everybody gets a nice wedge of cash, but it makes that six/seven-hour card a touch watch.

It's also pretty lazy booking, even if it's done for generous reasons.

This year, expect to see new Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor defend against Bobby Lashley, Jinder Mahal and whomever else finds themselves rattling around with nothing to do. This, as a knock-on effect, makes the match mean little; it's harder for fans to get invested in a story when there are so many moving parts with such little context.

Maybe this is harsh. Maybe. It's just frustrating to see the biggest pay-per-view of the year (a night that should be stacked with burning issues and hot feuds) become wrestling's equivalent of all you can eat. 'Mania deserves better than matches that only exist to make up the numbers.
