Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker. Trish Stratus vs. Lita. Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior. Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin.

Something doesn’t quite sound right there.

Kurt Angle is moving through a number of WWE superstars on his journey to his retirement. Chad Gable, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe possess the style, history and chemistry that reflects the career of Angle. Baron Corbin does not.

Angle has had an incredible career with comedy, amazing matches, fierce rivalries and multiple championships. Baron Corbin has not.

WWE could touch upon any one of Angle’s skills to produce a fitting farewell for the WWE Hall of Fame inductee. Admittedly, Kurt requires a little help to put together a decent match due to his age, but can definitely still get there.

The solution is John Cena.

Cena is without a match, possesses history the history and can put together a match worthy a Kurt’s final bout. Corbin should be attacked backstage by a mysterious superstar just before he is due to make his entrance. This should then be revealed to be Cena, as he enters the arena to replace Corbin at the 11th hour.

Dream scenarios are exactly that: dreams.

Expect Angle to lose to Corbin, but to stand tall after the bell.
